Position Objective
The Sales Consultant is responsible for demonstrating company’s software, services and support to all schools in the US and Canada and act as the company pre-sales support for all RAM and SA teams. The Sales Consultant will coordinate all demo activities with the RAM and SA teams to maximize results in all territories.
Responsibilities
- Represent the company in on line and in person meetings with clients and prospects, group meetings such as tradeshows, and in consultative capacity in public presentations.
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of the Versatrans product line with particular emphasis on Versatrans Routing and Planning
- Develop and maintain an ability to field a broad range of product related questions and respond in an appropriate manner.
- Attend industry trade shows, trade conferences as required
- Attend and participate in sales meetings
- Continue education in new products, services and industry developments
- Maintain and communicate plans and reports regarding sales activities on weekly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Assist in development of Demo Goals on a quarterly and annual basis
- Gather competitive information
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experiences in a software technology related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent problem solving, negotiation, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- At least two (2) years of sales or pre-sales support in a technical sales role.
- Technical acumen with ability to present and sell technical products in a business context
- Experience in student transportation and student transportation software
- Computer proficiency in sales oriented software, communication software, and MS Office suite
